FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about KYC, MT4/MT5 syncing, brokers, payments, plans, and security.
KYC (identity verification) is required before we enable full dashboard features — especially account syncing. This prevents fraud and ensures connected accounts belong to the verified user.
- KYC unlocks syncing features and sensitive analytics.
- Accounts must be in your name to protect performance data integrity.
- Reduces chargebacks, stolen card abuse, and fake-account activity.
To connect accounts to TraderLogPro, you must pass KYC and then connect accounts that match your verified identity. This avoids impersonation and keeps analytics accurate.
- KYC must be approved before account connection is enabled.
- Account owner name must match your verified profile (or approved business entity where applicable).
- One user = one identity. Multiple identities under one login is not allowed.
- If a connection fails, verify credentials, broker permissions, and the correct server.
Funded accounts are allowed only if assigned to your verified identity per our compliance rules.
Most verifications are processed quickly, but timing can vary depending on document quality and matching details.
- Use clear photos (no glare, no blur, full document visible).
- Make sure your profile name matches your document name.
- If anything is unclear, we may request resubmission.
You can purchase any plan using a card in your name or via cryptocurrency. For compliance, payments should be tied to the verified user.
- Card payments: cardholder name should match your verified identity.
- Crypto payments: supported assets may vary; transactions are final once confirmed.
- Using someone else’s card/identity may trigger compliance checks and restrictions.
You can cancel anytime from your billing settings. We do not issue refunds when you cancel.
- Your account stays active until the end of your current billing period.
- No further charges will happen after cancellation.
- You can reactivate anytime to resume billing and access.
For crypto payments, transactions are final. Please review your plan before confirming payment.
If your plan includes a free trial, you can explore features during the trial period. You can cancel before the trial ends to avoid future charges.
- Trial eligibility may depend on your plan and account status.
- Some features (like syncing) may still require KYC approval.
- Cancel anytime — access remains until the period ends.
We monitor suspicious activity to protect users and data integrity. Attempts to bypass KYC or connect accounts not owned by the verified user may lead to restrictions.
- Temporary lock on syncing and billing actions.
- Request for additional verification.
- Account suspension in severe or repeated cases.
Basic focuses on clean journaling and consistency. PRO adds deeper analytics and advanced insights to help you fix leaks faster.
- Basic: journaling, calendar P&L, screenshots/notes, core metrics.
- PRO: deeper analytics, advanced filters/reports, and insight-driven improvements.
- You can upgrade anytime from your billing settings.
Your journal data is private by default. Access is limited to what’s required for platform operation and support.
- You control what you upload and store (screenshots/notes/tags).
- Support may request permission to view specific diagnostics to help you fix issues.
- We use security measures to protect accounts and reduce abuse.
Most issues are caused by one of the checks below:
- KYC status is approved and syncing is enabled on your profile.
- Correct login credentials and the correct broker/server.
- Broker permissions/API access enabled (if applicable).
- Your account owner name matches your verified identity.
If it still fails, contact support with the error message and broker name.
- Complete and pass KYC in your TraderLogPro profile.
- Go to Dashboard → Connect Account.
- Select MT5.
- Enter your MT5 login, password, and server exactly as shown by your broker.
- Confirm and wait for the sync status to show Connected.
Tip: If you’re unsure about the server name, open MT5 → File → Open an Account and search your broker; use the exact server you trade on.
- Complete and pass KYC.
- Go to Dashboard → Connect Account.
- Select MT4.
- Enter account number, password, and server.
- Confirm connection and verify the status shows Connected.
Tip: MT4 servers are case-sensitive and broker-specific (example: “Broker-Live”, “Broker-Demo”).
- MT5: File → Open an Account → search broker → choose the server you trade on.
- MT4: File → Open an Account → search broker → server list (Live/Demo).
- Many brokers also show the server inside your client portal or in their welcome email.
We recommend using a read-only / investor password whenever your broker supports it. This allows syncing performance without trading permissions.
- If your broker only provides one password, you can connect with it — but read-only is preferred for safety.
- You can change your password anytime in your broker portal.
- If you change the broker password, you must update it in TraderLogPro to keep syncing.
Yes. You can connect demo or live accounts as long as they match your verified identity rules and are allowed by your plan.
- Use the correct server (Demo vs Live) when connecting.
- Analytics are separated by account so your data stays clean.
Funded accounts may be supported if they are assigned to your verified identity under our compliance rules. This protects against account sharing and fraud.
- KYC must be approved first.
- Accounts must be owned/assigned to you per provider documentation.
- Some prop firms restrict third-party connections — if so, syncing may be limited.
In most cases you don’t need a VPS. However, a VPS can improve stability if your broker requires a terminal-based bridge or if your setup depends on an always-on environment.
- If your connection type is cloud-based, your PC can be off.
- If your connection uses an EA/bridge, a VPS keeps it running 24/7.
- We’ll show the required connection method inside the dashboard.
Only if your connection method uses an EA/bridge. Some users connect without any terminal permissions.
- Cloud sync: no terminal settings required.
- EA/bridge sync: you may need to enable Algo Trading and specific permissions.
- We will clearly indicate required settings during setup.
- Confirm the account status is Connected and KYC is approved.
- Verify you connected the correct server (Live vs Demo).
- Check that your broker is not blocking third-party connections.
- If you recently changed your broker password, update it in the dashboard.
- Allow some time for initial history sync (especially on older accounts).
The number of connected accounts depends on your plan and platform limits. Your dashboard will show available slots and any upgrade options.
- You can disconnect an account to free a slot.
- Accounts must comply with identity rules (KYC + ownership).
